The air of mystery that surrounded you all those years ago,
that made you seem unfathomable,
always beyond reach,
no matter how close I stood,
Did you know about that?
Where did it go?
When did that disappear?
Did it fade slowly or all at once?
I woke up today and you are quite ordinary.

And now I’m bored.

This poem, Over and Not Quite have some funk about them. They read like sequels. They ain’t autobiographical, are they? Your loved one didn’t become mere, I hope.

    • Lol… Nah… They’re just writing. I even wrote them at different times and for different reasons. ‘Not quite’ for example, only came about because I wanted to use the word ‘Quotidian’.
